Battye's - New fish and chip restaurant, Glasshoughton

Only just opened, nice modern surroundings, good haddock in excellent batter.

Edit: Have since been back to sample the takeaway side and was very pleased with the quality. Fish and chips were served in cardboard boxes. When I got home and ate them, the batter was still crisp. That doesn't usually happen when they are wrapped in paper.

Highly recommended.
