Queens Drive Fish Restaurant, Ossett

Queens Drive is one of the main roads through the part of Ossett very close to Junction 40 of the M1. This little restaurant was one of the first places we found to eat out at when we moved to the area over 12 years ago and we've been fairly regular customers ever since. Yorkshire (and everywhere else I guess) is full of this kind of establishment, a normal fish and chip shop with an eat-in facility attached. They vary enormously in price and style of decor. This one feels like a restaurant rather than a cafe and isn't the cheapest - haddock, chips and peas (pictured) with a cup of tea, bread and butter and a complementary pudding is about a tenner - but it is our favourite, outperforming the acclaimed Bryan's of Headingley by far, in our opinion.
