Kaye Arms, Grange Moor

This is a pub on the main road between Wakefield and Huddersfield that we have been to many times over the last 15 years or so. It has changed hands occasionally, and standards have varied considerably, but it's back on top form at present. We've been about five times over the last six months and have enjoyed each visit.  We had Sunday lunch today. Just the one course - as usual Mary had Pork, I chose the beef.

The meat, vegetables and gravy were perfectly to our taste - we even asked what type of potato they'd used for the roasts because their texture was so right (they were Maris Piper). While we were there some casual diners were turned away because they hadn't booked. I'm sure we'll return soon.
